An easy to grow, large oriental white radish with mild flavour and crisp texture, traditionally used for sushi, salads, soups and stir-fries. For outdoor sowing
When May to August.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart.
Cover with 1.5cm fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. Make early and late sowings for a longer harvest.
Care When large enough thin out to 15cm apart. Harvest alternate roots, allowing others to fully mature up to 35cm long.
Harvest August to November, longer in mild winters. Keep well watered as dry conditions can cause tough roots
