The Barr Family Group of businesses was originally established in 1961, and our strong family values put our customers at the heart of everything we do.

Whitesyke Garden Centre in Longtown opened in 2007 and is now one of five Centres owned and managed by the Barr Family. Our third generation independent family business has been serving the local communities of Dumfries and Galloway and Cumbria for over 60 years.
Whitesyke Garden Centre set in its semi-rural location provides a warm country welcome in tranquil and peaceful surroundings with everything for the traditional gardener or for those wanting to browse at their leisure.

At Whitesyke Garden Centre, we are committed to offering our customers a wide variety of quality plants and gardening products sourced from the best nurseries and suppliers in England, Scotland, the UK and Europe. 
On our show site we have an extensive range of rattan, wooden and aluminium garden furniture along with our garden sheds, summerhouses, greenhouses, arches, arbours, fencing and paving to enhance any garden.

Our knowledgeable and experienced team are always available to answer your gardening and garden building questions and to offer help, suggestions and advice.
We all love to see wild birds in our gardens, and at Whitesyke Garden Centre we stock everything you need to attract many different species into your garden. We also stock a range of dog toys and treats.

In our Toy Shop we are local stockists for top brands Bruder, Siku, Britains, Keel, and our gift shop has a wide range of gifts to suit every occasion and budget.
