When February to April.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. Grow on at approx. 10-13°C. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 20cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October.
For outdoor sowing
When April to May.
Where In a prepared seed bed in flowering position.
How Sow thinly in rows 15cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When large enough thin to 20cm apart.
Flowers June to October. Make 2-3 sowings for a longer flowering season.
