A robust, medium height variety with dense leafy crowns which sweeten after winter frosts. Tender baby leaves can also be used raw. For outdoor sowing
When April to June.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart.
Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care When 5-6 leaves are formed, transplant to final position 45cm apart for mature plants. Firm plants in well.
Harvest September to April.
For indoor sowing
When March to May.
Where In trays of moist compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost and firm gently. Keep at approx. 15°C and keep moist.
Care to Acclimatise to outside conditions. Transplant to final position 45cm apart, firm plants in well and keep moist.
Harvest September to April. Use young flower shoots as broccoli.
