A bright mix of mainly double and semi-double flowers on neat, compact plants, blooming freely throughout the summer. Usually grown as an annual. For indoor sowing
When February to April.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant singly into small pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers July to October. Remove dead heads to prolong flowering. Lift tubers in autumn to replant the following spring.
