Highly recommended for succulent and sweet cucumbers. An all female* variety, it has excellent cold tolerance making it suitable to grow outdoors. For indoor sowing
When February to May.
Where In 7.5cm pots of seed compost.
How Sow singly into a pot edgeways into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 20-25°C. Seedlings appear 7-21days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. Grow on at approx. 15°C. After 3-4 leaves have formed transplant 45cm apart in the greenhouse in beds, grow bags or large pots. Train up wires, remove growing point at roof level. For outdoor crops: Stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant to a sunny spot outside, spacing plants 60cm apart.
July to October (outdoor crops from August). When fruits swell, give a liquid feed every 3-4 weeks.
