High yielding variety with large smooth roots which remain white when cooked. The dense flesh does not form cavities and stores exceptionally well. For indoor sowing
When March to April.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 1.5cm of fine soil. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Firm gently and keep moist.
Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Grow on at approx. 15°C. Transplant 25cm apart in final position in June. Remove outer leaves as roots swell.
Harvest August to December. Can be stored for several months in a cool dry place. Give a regular liquid feed during July
and August to increase yields.
