When January to March.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Keep at approx. 13°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Transplant to further trays if necessary. Stand outside for a few days early April (avoid frosts). Transplant to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Firm in well and keep moist.
Harvest June to October.
For outdoor sowing
When March to June or September to October.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly, cover lightly with fine soil and keep moist. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.
Care When approx. 10cm tall transplant to final position with 60cm between plants and rows. Firm in well, keep moist and weed free.
Harvest June to October. Protect early and late (overwinter) sowings with cloches.
