When January to March.
Where In trays of seed compost.
How Sow thinly, cover with 0.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear 14-28 days.
Care Remove cover when seedlings appear.
When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 25cm apart in flowering position. Keep moist and weed free.
Flowers June to October, the same year. Trim plants back as flowers fade, for a
second flush.
