A delightful, easy to grow mix of rich colours perfect for borders and cutting. Attracts butterflies and bees to the garden. For indoor sowing
When January to March.
Where In trays of moist compost.
How Sow thinly. Firm gently into compost. Do not cover seed with compost. Keep at 15-20°C. Keep moist.
Care When large enough transplant 5cm apart to further trays or pots of compost. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position.
Flowers July to September, the same year.
For outdoor sowing
When April to June.
Where In a prepared seed bed.
How Sow thinly in rows 23cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.
Care When large enough thin to 7.5cm apart. Transplant 30cm apart in flowering position from September to October.
Flowers June to September, the following year. Do not feed as this encourages excess foliage.
